Empowering veterans with the assistance they deserve to become entrepreneurs.
By fostering small business ownership opportunities, we harness the proven business acumen of our military heroes. Through this work, we instill hope and combat the persistent issue of veteran suicides.
Our mission is to educate and connect military veterans, military-spouses, business owners, financial institutions, public and private sectors, the general public, and legislators. We advocate for veteran small business ownership and support for realistic federal and state business lending programs, thereby uniting stakeholders to pave the way for veterans’ success.
Veteran Business Project (VBP) was co-founded in 2011 by Charles “Lynn” Lowder and Dale Eisenberg. Lynn, VBP’s CEO, is a Marine veteran who served as a team leader with the 1st Force Reconnaissance Company (Special Operations) in South Vietnam. He was awarded the Silver Star Medal for valor, the Bronze Star Medal with combat “v”, and the Purple Heart for wounds received in action. Dale, VBP’s President, is a committed proponent of veteran entrepreneurship, and a successful restaurateur, having owned multiple restaurants for over 45 years.
Veteran Business Project is a 501(c)3 with the sole mission of helping match veterans or military spouses with businesses wanting to sell, and then VBP aids in the necessary transitions to becoming a successful business owner. At ZERO COST to veterans, the team at VBP individually walks eligible applicants through a process that helps identify the veteran’s goals and works to determine an appropriate business match. We then provide an aligned coach who walks beside each veteran to help map out and guide them throughout the steps to deal completion.
The Veteran Business Project is deeply committed to ensuring no veteran is left behind. We drive our mission forward by providing veterans and military spouses with the assistance they rightfully deserve. When veterans join us, we promptly grant access to business coaches and deliver personalized service throughout their journey. By offering this unwavering support, we address the persistent issue of veteran suicide, providing hope and fostering purpose during their transition to civilian life. Veterans also know they can reach out to us anytime and for any reason — whether seeking business coaching, referrals, or simply a listening ear — further reinforcing our commitment to veteran well-being.
The Veteran Business Project reflects an unwavering commitment to empowering veterans with resources and sustained support as they pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations.
